How to Backup / Restore Contacts on Android

Today i am going to give a quick guide for Backup / Restore Contacts on Android. If your are changing your phone, changing custom ROMs frequently or you are in worry to lost important contacts from your smartphone, then backup your contacts and store it to your SDcard, PC / Laptop or batter to store online there is no worry to lost it. If you have questions or want to give feedback then use the comment area. I hope this article will helps you to take backup of your android’s contacts.
Procedure for Backup Contacts :
Step 1 : Open the contacts on your android, Then press menu key. There you can see option of “Import / Export” option tap on it.
Step 2 : Then you will see options as shown in below screenshot. There choose “Export to SD card”.
Step 3 : A prompt message for conformation is asked to you, tap on “OK” to conform the backup.
Step 4 : Then after a few second task is run for backup of your contact.
Step 5 : When the process will complete there is a backup file will stored in your SDcard. The file is “.vcf” extension.
Congrats ! Your phone’s contact are now successfully backup. Store this backup file to your SDcard, PC / Laptop or any online storage.
Procedure for Restore Contacts :
Step 1 : For restore again open the contacts on your android, Then press menu key. There you can see option of “Import / Export” option tap on it.
Step 2 : There choose “Import from SD card”.
Step 3 : It will scan your SDcard and after scanning it will ask you  to select backup file then select your backup file.
Step 4 : Then restoring process will now start. In a few moments your contacts will restore.
